Dems pick up another gov... Lt. Gov Bev Perdue beats Republican Pat McCrory, whose poll numbers had remained fairly robust even as Liddy Dole's dropped.  We noted this week that if McCrory managed to beat the headwinds in North Carolina, he could have earned a big boost as a rising star in a navel-gazing Republican Party. ...( read more ) (link)
