Former President Bill Clinton will address the convention tonight, but what exactly Clinton will say is anybodys guess. The theme of the evening, Securing Americas Future, is supposed to be national and foreign policy focused, but Clinton advisers say the former president will likely hit on economic themes and Democrats successes in that areaparticularly during his administration.
While Barack Obama s campaign has been reviewing and scrubbing all convention speakers remarks, its unlikely they were able to give that treatment to Clinton. One Clinton adviser said the former president wrote this speech the same way hes written all of his speeches–in long hand on a yellow legal pad.
Obama adviser Anita Dunn told reporters this morning that there was no nail-biting going on in the Clinton campaign. Were not nervous at all, she said, Were quite excited about it.
