Jonathan Weisman reports on the White House transition.
In the speculative world that is post-election Washington, former Rep. David Boniors name is at the top of everybodys list of potential labor secretaries.
Bonior wants you to know hes not interested.
In an interview, the former Michigan congressman, who now advises President-elect Barack Obama on Detroits ills when hes not teaching labor law, said hes done with government. He said hes flattered that his name keeps popping up, but in no way does he want to serve as labor secretary.
Bonior, who retired from Congress six years ago and made an unsuccessful run for Michigan governor, managed former Sen. John Edwards’s 2008 presidential campaign.
