From NBC's Jack ChesnuttAccording to the Colorado Secretary of State’s office, turnout among a few precincts has been light to moderate.
Election officials interpret this to be caused by the high percentage of mail-in ballots. Statewide, 63% of Colorado registered voters requested mail-in ballots.
At polling places checked by NBC News in Arapahoe, Douglas and Jefferson counties mail-in and early-voting percentages are running as high as 74%. Hence the light turnout at the polls on Election...( read more )
