Norm Coleman says he is optimistic about regaining his former Senate seat, but he has already lined up a private sector gig, just in case.
The Republican Jewish Coalition announced today that Coleman would join the group as a consultant and strategic adviser while a panel of judges considers his challenge to the Minnesota recount.
We are confident that in a few months Senator Coleman will return to his seat in the Senate, but until that time, we are eager for him to travel across the country on our behalf, RJC executive director Matt Brooks said in a written statement. Minnesota Democrats were quick to point out that the group had already flown Coleman around the country seven times, for a combined $13,377 since he became a senator in 2003.
