Vice presidential candidate and Delaware Sen. Joe Biden will address the Democratic convention tonight in what will be his first major speech since Barack Obama tapped him as his running mate on Saturday.

The night’s theme, “Securing America’s Future,” suggests Biden, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, will flex his foreign policy muscle inside the convention hall.
Biden brings to the Democratic ticket a depth of foreign policy experience Obama lacks. However, a new poll to be released later today by the U.N. Foundation shows voter interest has pivoted dramatically from foreign policy concerns, such as the war in Iraq, to the U.S. economy.
In September 2007, 47% of voters identified the war as the No. 1 election issue while 24% said the economy. Today, those results are reversed with 45% of voters saying the economy matters ...
