Gov. Sarah Palin s announcement that her 17-year-old daughter is pregnant didnt seem to lessen the enthusiasm that many Republican convention delegates have for the presumed vice presidential nominee.
Every familys had that, said Bob Bennett , chairman of the Ohio delegation as the convention was gaveled openalthough he then said his own family hadnt faced that.
I do not believe in that, but it happens, added Lynn Rousenberg , a delegate from Jerusalem, Ohio, using the same euphemism. But Rousenberg, grandmother of two teenaged girls, was more worried that Democrats would use the news about the Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate to attack the Republican ticket. Everyone in their life has something negative, she added.
