Election Day in Illinois: Who Will Win Rahm Emanuel’s Seat?

 
Susan Davis reports on House races. Chicago voters have no shortage of candidates to choose from in today’s primary election to fill the House seat vacated by former Rep. Rahm Emanuel , who became President Barack Obama ’s chief of staff. A dozen Democrats, six Republicans, and five Green Party candidates appear on today’s ballot, although the Democrat who wins today will be heavily favored to win the April 7 general election in this heavily Democratic district covering Chicago’s North Side. Among the Democrats vying for the seat are Cook Country Commissioner Mike Quigley , who was endorsed by both the Chicago Tribune and the Chicago Sun-Times, as well Alderman Patrick O’Connor , and Illinois state House Reps. John Fritchey and Sara Feigenholtz . (The Chicago Tribune has bios on all of the candidates .)
