Former NH Governor Attacks McCain’s Economic Plan

 
The Democrats, in their weekly radio address, are attacking John McCain as someone who “doesn’t get it” when it comes to fixing the economy and helping struggling families. Former New Hampshire Governor Jeanne Shaheen (jeen shuh-HEEN’) says McCain’s economic plan is “four more years of George Bush’s economic plan.” Shaheen says that means “four more years of record spending, record deficits, record giveaways to the special interests and a reckless disregard for the middle class.” Shaheen is making her second run for the U.S. Senate in a closely watched rematch campaign against Senator John Sununu (soo-NOO’-noo). Shaheen says Barack Obama “will lay out a new direction” for jump-starting the economy and rebuilding a strong middle class when he speaks at the upcoming Democratic National Convention.
