Frank Luntz: ‘Sell Palin as a Mother of Five’

At a breakfast meeting of the Florida delegation at an airport hotel near the Mall of America, delegates were shifting away from Monday’s solemn, storm-centered tone to the Republican convention. The gathering opened with a prayer of thanks “for sparing our Gulf Coast neighbors” and then served up a little red meat: “There are 10 tickets left for a Robby Knievel event,” delegation official Paul Senft joked. “Robby is going to try to jump 5,000 Obama supporters in a bulldozer.” Frank Luntz , the Republican pollster, political-language guru and Fox News pundit, was there to help delegates answer reporters’ questions about Sarah Palin , Republiccan candidate John McCain ’s running mate.
