GOP Launches Multipronged Attack on Biden

 
Susan Davis reports on the presidential race. Within hours, Republicans have launched a multipronged assault against Barack Obama ’s running mate, Delaware Sen. Joe Biden . A new Republican National Committee Web site, www.obamapicksbiden.com dubs him “Obama’s Off-Message Man” and provides a catalog of critical statements Biden made about Obama during the Democratic presidential primary. The site also includes criticisms of Biden’s plan to divide Iraq between its three ethnic factions, as well as a rehash of some of Biden’s best known rhetorical gaffes. Vice Presidential candidate Sen. Joe Biden and his wife, Jill, depart their home on Saturday in Greenville, Del., to join Barack Obama for a rally in Illinois.
