The 18-year-old daughter of former Republican vice presidential candidate and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has given birth to a son, People.com reported this evening.
Bristol Palin gave birth Sunday to Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston , a 7 lb., 4 oz., boy in Palmer, Alaska. Johnston is the surname of Bristols fiancée, Levi . The couple has said they plan to wed in 2009.
People reported that Bristol is currently residing in Wasilla and completing high school through correspondence classes while her fiancée is studying to be an electrician. We think its wonderful, Colleen Jones , the sister of Bristols maternal grandmother, told People in an interview confirming the birth. The baby is fine and Bristol is doing well. Everyone is excited.
