Sen. John McCain s hope for an upset win in Pennsylvania rested largely on holding off Sen. Barack Obama in the Philadelphia suburbs with support from voters like Richard Cresnick , a 53-year-old radiologist from Chester Springs, Pa.
A straight Democratic, far-left conglomeration of what were going to have is the wrong thing at the wrong time, said the McCain voter. Ive never seen a man make so many promises hes got to give back to so many people.
Cresnick said he didnt buy into Obamas message of change, though he did acknowledge being a liberal in his youth who supported Jesse Jackson and Eugene McCarthy . This is a very leftist leaning candidate. Hes not a centrist at all, he said of Obama.
He said the Democratic nominees proposals to rely more heavily on alternative energy were unrealistic. We have a fossil-fuel based economy whether we want to admit it or not, and windmills are not going to change ...
