McCain Doesn’t Take Sides; Obama Roots for Phillies

John McCain proclaimed he wasn’t “dumb enough” to take sides in the World Series between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Tampa Bay Rays, what with both teams hailing from crucial swing states. Obama was showing some love to the Devil Rays down in Tampa Bay yesterday,” McCain said at a Tuesday morning rally here outside of Philadelphia. The crowd booed heartily. He continued: “I think I may have detected a little pattern with Sen. Obama. It’s pretty simple really. When he’s campaigning in Philadelphia, he roots for the Phillies, and when he’s campaigning in Tampa Bay, he shows love to the Rays.” More boos.
