McCain Picks Up Two States, Obama Takes Five

As the 9:00 p.m. poll closures hit, there still hasn’t been one state to change its color from the 2004 election. Sen. John McCain is projected to win North Dakota (3 electoral votes) and Wyoming (3 electoral votes). Sen. Barack Obama is projected to win Michigan (17 electoral votes), Minnesota (10 electoral votes), New York (31 electoral votes), Rhode Island (4 electoral votes) and Wisconsin (10 electoral votes). Races in Indiana, Virginia, Colorado and Florida remained too close to call. The current electoral vote tally: Obama: 175 McCain: 40 (link)
