McCain Surrogates Tout Palin As More Experienced Than Obama

 
Laura Meckler reports from Minnesota on the presidential race. The McCain campaign appears to have settled on a unified response to charges that running mate Sarah Palin has virtually no foreign policy experience, very little experience on the national stage and is not prepared to be president should John McCain become incapacitated or die. McCain’s allies fanned out to the Sunday talk shows to say that the Alaska governor has more experienced that Democratic nominee Barack Obama . Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, one of McCain’s closest friends and advisers, was asked on ABC’s “This Week” if he would feel confident, safe and secure with Palin as president. Graham did not respond directly. He said: “I would dread the day that Sen Obama takes the oath and became commander in chief.” When pressed, he said that his choices were between Obama, whose judgment he does not trust, and McCain-Palin.
