Sen. John McCain is projected to win Alabama (9 electoral votes). The current electoral vote tally: Obama: 175 McCain: 49 FoxNews is predicting that Sen. Barack Obama has won New Mexico (5 electoral votes), a key battleground that would mark the first state to switch parties from t 2004 election. Other news outlets are calling Georgia (15 electoral votes) and Texas (34 electoral votes) for McCain. Races in Indiana, Virginia, Colorado and Florida remained too close to call. (link)
