First Lady Michelle Obama will grace the cover of the March issue of Vogue magazine , the Associated Press reported .
Every first lady since Lou Hoover with the exception of Bess Truman has been photographed for the high-end fashion glossy. However Obama is only the second first lady to appear on the cover Hillary Clinton was the first in 1998.
The eight-page spread, photographed by Annie Leibovitz , shows Obama in some of her favorite designers including Jason Wu , who designed her inaugural gown , as well as Narcisco Rodriguez and J. Crew a preferred label of the Obama family. Obama also picked out her own clothes, a rarity for a cover subject.
