(AP) Obama told an open-air rally here and a thunderous, indoor rally in Richmond earlier that all he wants to do is give a tax cut to the now-embattled, unlicensed Ohio plumber who confronted him about his plans to raise taxes on individuals and small businesses with incomes over $250,000. The McCain campaign has latched on to Wurzelbacher’s complaint about the Obama plan. “Let’s be clear who John McCain is fighting for,” Obama said. “He’s not fighting for Joe the Plumber. He’s fighting for Joe the hedge fund manager. He’s fighting for Joe the CEO.” In Richmond, Obama accused McCain of being “in cahoots with Joe the CEO.” The McCain campaign was not amused but it was ready. ... (link)
