Obama Camp Blasts Rapper for Anti-Hillary, Anti-McCain Tune

CHICAGO — Barack Obama’s presidential campaign says a new pro-Obama rhyme by the rapper Ludacris is “outrageously offensive.” The lyrics skewer Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, John McCain, President Bush and Rev. Jesse Jackson. Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton said Obama has consistently expressed his opposition to rap lyrics that “perpetuate misogyny, materialism, and degrading images.” The song brags about an Obama presidency being destiny. It uses an expletive to describe Clinton, calls Bush “mentally handicapped” and says McCain doesn’t belong in “any chair unless he’s paralyzed.” (link)
