Obama, McCain Air Olympics Ads

 
Susan Davis reports on the presidential race. Barack Obama ’s presidential campaign today released the second ad to air during the Beijing Olympics. Advertising Age reported in July the Obama campaign made a hefty $5 million ad buy to air ads during the games. Two weeks later, John McCain ’s campaign upped the ante with a $6 million Olympics ad buy. Obama’s latest ad, “Three Bedroom Ranch,” targets middle-class voters. “He’ll put the middle class ahead of corporate interests to grow the economy, end tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas, help businesses that create jobs here, invest in education, cut taxes for working families, and make energy independence an urgent national priority.” The first Obama ad, “ Hands ,” hits on similar themes on building the economy and new energy technologies. McCain has three ads airing during the games, two of which are negative against Obama. “ Painful ” attacks Obama as inexperienced and a tax-hiker, and “ Family ” ... (link)
