Barack Obama may be on vacation but his campaign isnt taking a break.
On Monday, the Obama campaign launched a new 30-second ad called Embrace that portrays rival John McCain as Washingtons biggest celebrity and shows footage of him and President Bush .
Embrace is a response to a recent ad from the McCain campaign, Celeb , that compares Obama to Paris Hilton and Britney Spears . The McCain ad claims his celebrity status does not qualify him to lead the country. The Obama campaign has now thrown the celebrity claim back at McCain linking him to Washington politics as usual.
For decades, hes been Washingtons biggest celebrity. John McCain, the new Obama ad says as McCain hugs Bush. And as Washington embraced him, John McCain hugged right back.
