Obama Selects Biden as Vice Presidential Running Mate

 
CHICAGO, Ill., Aug. 23--Sen. Joe Biden (D-Del.) was announced as Barack Obama's running mate early Saturday, adding an elder statesman of Washington politics to the Democratic ticket just days before the start of the party's convention in Denver. (link)
