Sarah Palin may be gone from the presidential stage, but she is doing her part not to be forgotten. In a series of television interviews, the Alaska governor is giving her take on what went wrong, and making it clear that she is not the one to blame for the defeat of the McCain-Palin ticket.
She will also make an appearance in Miami later this week for the annual Republican Governors Association conference.
In an interview with NBC’s Today Show this morning Palin listed three factors that contributed to their defeat: losing the Hispanic vote, Barack Obama’s cash advantage, and an “anti-incumbency” sentiment among voters.
The Alaska governor acknowledged that she thought the election would be much closer. “The margin was pretty surprising to me,” she said.
