Republican National Committee members and state-based think tanks convened in Washington, D.C., this week to hash out the partys mistakes and plan for the future.
The midweek affair, which ran from Tuesday through Thursday, was primarily hosted by Americans for Tax Reform as a forum to talk about best practices during the election as well as some failures, said Saul Anuzis , chairman of the Michigan Republican Party, who attended the meetings and is mounting his own campaign for the chairmanship of the Republican National Committee. The American Conservative Union also helped host portions of the event.
The group was particularly focused on coming up with new strategies to reach out to African Americans and Hispanics, as well as better employing Web technology in the future.
