Schwarzenegger kills California $18 billion budget gap fix

 
SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger on Thursday said he would not sign an $18 billion package of fee hikes and budget cuts passed by the legislature, dealing a mortal blow to the latest plan to narrow a yawning shortfall. (link)
