Top Democrats in Senate call for new tack to fill Obama seat

Anyone chosen by Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich would be tainted by the corruption charges, they say. > The U.S. Senate's top two Democratic leaders said Tuesday that any senator chosen by Gov. Rod R. Blagojevich would now be irrevocably tainted by the allegations of corruption against the governor, and they called for a new selection process. (link)
