Treasury pressures; Citi scraps jet plans

 
From NBC's Chuck Todd and Lisa MyersWASHINGTON -- The Treasury Department pressured Citigroup yesterday to abandon plans to buy a new corporate jet, an Obama administration official said. Citigroup got the message and said in a statement this morning "we have no intent to take delivery of any new aircraft."The company came under criticism for its plans for a new plane because it has received federal bailout money.
