Veepstakes: Obama picks Biden

The Boston Globe’s front page : "Biden is Obama's VP choice." Subhead: "Foreign policy credentials boost ticket." Per NBC/NJ’s Mike Memoli, two big black SUVs just arrived outside of Biden’s home. It would appear a lot of the family will be part of the motorcade to the airport. The New York Times says the pick “reflected a critical strategic choice by Mr. Obama: To go with a running mate who could reassure voters about gaps in his résumé, rather than to pick someone who could deliver a state or reinforce Mr. Obama’s message of change.” "Biden, who has twice sought the White House, is a Catholic with blue-collar roots, a generally liberal voting record, and a reputation as a long-winded orator," the AP writes.
