Susan Davis reports on the presidential race.
In the latest Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll voters made one thing clear: they are unhappy with former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards following his admission of an extra-marital affair .
Voters who said they have a very or somewhat negative view of the two-time presidential contender jumped 22 percentage points from 27% in January to 49% in August.
Edwardss admission means neither he nor his wife, Elizabeth , will play roles at the Democratic convention that begins Monday in Denver. Edwards will also no longer attend a Take Back Labor Day concert in Minnesota during the Republican convention the following week, where he was expected to be one of the events headliners.
For more on the WSJ/NBC News poll, which shows the presidential race between John McCain and Barack Obama in a statistical dead heat, read this story in todays Wall Street Journal.
