Secret Service agents drop in on winery to chat with state dinner couple

Washington (CNN) – Two Secret Service agents visited a Virginia winery Friday to question a couple whose appearance at a White House state dinner raised eyebrows this week, the winery manager told CNN.
Diane Weiss, manager at the Oasis Winery, in Hume, Virginia, said the agents wanted to speak with Tareq and Michaele Salahi, but Weiss didn't know their whereabouts.
The Secret Service could not be reached for comment.
The Warren County Report, a local newspaper, quoted Weiss as saying the agents said they wanted to speak with the couple and not arrest them. It also quoted her as saying that the Salahis live in Linden, Virginia but receive mail at the winery.

And it quoted her as saying the agents said it was "imperative" that investigators speak with the couple and that they would "take whatever action" is necessary if they did not.
Weiss told CNN that the newspaper quoted her accurately, but she declined to elaborate.
The state dinner was held for visiting Indian ...

Find more top political news, videos, and blogs on BeltwayBlips: Congress, Internal Revenue Service, CNN

President Obama to appear with NFL players for Thanksgiving public service announcement.

Washington (CNN) - Several White House officials confirm President Obama will appear in a public service announcement with NFL players DeMarcus Ware, Drew Brees, and Troy Polamalu. The 90-second spot will air during the NFL Thanksgiving games, and a shorter version will run throughout the football season.
The ad has Obama playing touch football on the White House lawn with local children and the Pittsburgh Steelers safety Polamalu, New Orleans Saints quarterback Brees, and Dallas Cowboys linebacker Ware. The spot is to promote the NFL's Play 60 campaign which tackles childhood obesity by encouraging physical exercise, and Mr.Obama's community service project United We Serve. During the spot the president wears a Chicago Bears jacket recognizing his home team.
