Filed under: Democrats, 2008 Senate Today the canvassing board met to decide the fate of previously rejected absentee ballots in the Minnesota Senate race recount. The unanimous decision, which included Democratic Secretary of State Mark Ritchie, was that the 12,000 rejected ballots will not be included in the recount.
The Franken campaign was counting on those ballots to turn the tide in their favor. Canvassing board members were quick to make it clear they expect their decision to be litigated.
