Comments from Left Field — ... earlier, it is indeed getting lonely for the Republicans on Capital Hill. Not only are their buddies at the State level breaking with them, it would seem that their “principled position” on the stimulus has driven a wedge between them and… well… the rest of the country. Since the passage of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act last week Democrats in Congress have seen a sharp 12 point increase in their approval ratings. I wonder if Eric Cantor forgot to take that particular lesson from Newt?
