That is about the only thing that makes sense from his announcement that the only thing Democrats should do if they lose a couple of races tonight is to take further steps to de-motivate the Democratic base by continuing to not deliver on promised policy changes that Democrats, him included, ran on successfully in 2006 and 2008.
