xroads This is serious stuff. Are the Democrats really that stuipid? First off this is illegal and probably easily traced. Whoever did this will most likely face prosectution. Rightly so. But what do the Dems gain by this childish stunt? Everyone has a social security number and you'd have to be living in a cave not to know of the identity theft epidemic. Regardless of party affiliation voters will remember a crime such as this. -
cooper No, but conservatives blogs seem to post things which they haven't vetted. "Politico" already pulled their piece because people were making up their own take on it.
Politico never said who they got it from, the blogs made that up ( they assumed) but readers never seem to care or do their own research.
Assumptions can bring libel law suits which - A sentence for instance at "Redstate" which states a falsehood as a fact .....

xroads True the Politico did not say where they obtained the report but they did say who put the report together. This is from the original Politico article.
"Democrat Tony Knowles, her opponent in the 2006 Alaska gubernatorial race, put together a detailed, 63-page research document — obtained by Politico — cataloging Palin’s strengths and weaknesses. And the Obama campaign, in particular, knows Palin well: A key Obama consultant, Anita Dunn, worked on Knowles’ campaign."
Now where do you suppose they "obtained" a detailed 63 page report put together by Democrat Tony Knowles?
Also, I doubt seriously Politico pulled that piece cause as you say "people were making up their own take on it." That report was a 63 page PDF of personal information about the Palin Family that anyone could copy from the Politico website.

Sometimes you just have to step back and be a little frivolous, in the face of all the madness , and it is both mean and crazy out there. Can you imagine the press not talking about the invasion of Sarah Palin’s privacy, and the press’ own unwillingness to co-operate with the FBI, because a) they’re Obama-enthralled and b) they don’t want to create “sympathy” for a candidate who - like unlike Hillary Clinton back in 2000 - has SERIOUSLY had her “space” invaded . It’s just sad to see what the press has become. So, for just ...
