... to have "The Talk."
With so many rumors and misperceptions out there, it's incredibly important that you sit down with parents or other family members. Tell them who Barack is, what he stands for, and why you're supporting him.
You may be the only person who can convince them.

The spot also drives home a message that Barack Obama's campaign has pushed in recent days: that young people are best positioned to talk to their parents out of voting for McCain. "Are you sure if your parents are voting for Obama?," asks the Obama site devoted to this push. "If not, you may be the only person who can convince them. If ...

The Obama campaign itself is pushing a nudge-your-family effort --not comedic, of course, but sprinkled with some of the do-and-don't tips that Barack seems to swear by ("Don't feel defensive. Stay calm, cool and collected"). But underlying the generational joke (I love "Just because other people your age are doing it doesn't make it cool") is the McCain-as-a-drug joke. ... I'm getting really tired of the terrorist tactics of the Obama campaign: videos encouraging kids to tell their grandparents they won't help them with Tivo or texting unless they vote for Obama and enlisting unfunny "comedienne" Sarah Silverman--whose greatest "achievement" is calling Chinese people "Chinks" on "The Tonight Show"--to make a highly offensive, obnoxious video telling Jewish kids to similarly hold their grandparents hostage, saying they won't visit them unless they vote for anti-Israel Obama. If those were my grandkids, I'd tell them, "forget ...
