SOS: The End Of The Line For Hillary?
TalkLeft —
Ezra Klein thinks so: Presuming that Hillary Clinton will remain one of, if not the, central actors in Democratic life from the year 2000 to the year 2016 displays a certain poverty of imagination about the path of Democratic politics. With every passing day, her singular political position erodes. In 2004, she would have won the nomination in a walk. By 2008, there was a new politician who better tapped into that particular moment in the party's life. By 2016, there will be many politicians like that, most of whose names we don't know. It's very ...
Back to Hillary and State
PoliBlog: A Rough Draft of my Thoughts —
Despite The Guardian’s report that Hillary Clinton has accepted the job of Secretary of State, there have been no other confirmations of the report.
Indeed, a CNN write-up from yesterday didn’t sound as if an announcement was around the corner, and the NYT underscores the problem of vetting Bill.
While one ponders whether or not a formal offer has been made and accepted, I would recommend Ezra Klein’s thoughts on the SoS job and Hillary in 2016 as well as James Joyner’s rundown of endorsement of Hillary for the job over at the New Atlanticist’s Policy and Analysis blog.
