Clinton supporters running rhetorically amok? No! It can’t be so. Cue the haters, the jealous, and those out for revenge. This Politico headline says it all.
I mean, seriously. After "Hardball" yesterday, with Chris Matthews
stirring up the Clinton-Kennedy fantasy feud, you would have thought that world
peace had been declared, because nothing was so important for Matthews and his
ilk than to make up out of whole cloth a feud on which Secretary of State designee
Clinton could care less about engaging. ...

... of picking Caroline and Hillary’s telling her diehards not to stand in the way , so this travesty really may be in the offing. Exit question: Why would the New York Post, of all papers, jump on the Kennedy bandwagon? Or did I stumble onto the answer in the previous sentence?

Liberal Princess Supports Liberal Princess
POLITICO: Hillary Clinton has told her supporters not to involve her in their efforts to stop Caroline Kennedy’s path to the U.S. Senate, a person familiar with replacement discussions said.
The move clears a major obstacle between Kennedy and the seat.
Prominent Clinton supporters, including Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.), union leader Stuart Applebaum and fundraiser Robert Zimmerman, recently expressed skepticism about the choice, suggesting that Clinton’s supporters would see naming Kennedy — a crucial Obama backer — as a slight.
All three “were told ...
DAY'S END ROUNDUP

DAY'S END ROUNDUP The Federal Reserve Bank's move to cut interest rates to virtually zero is scaring some liberal bloggers. Caroline Kennedy is picking up some prominent backers in her quest for the Senate, bloggers note. And neither President-elect Obama nor Democrats in Illinois state government are doing a good job of dealing with the Senate seat scandal, conservative bloggers write. The Fed's record low interest rate policy is reminiscent of Japan's failed attempt to jumpstart its economy earlier this decade, writes Paul Krugman . Though the Fed is moving faster than Japan's government did, the Fed's cuts aren't enough to deal with an economic crisis this big, ...
Hillary Clinton To Supporters: Don’t Involve Me In Anti-Caroline Kennedy Senate Seat Drive
The Moderate Voice —
Incoming Obama administration Secretary of State Sen. Hillary Clinton has reportedly told some of her followers that she does not want her name used in their efforts to stop growing momentum for the appointment of Caroline Kennedy to serve out the remaining time on her Senate seat once she starts her new job.
Apparently Clinton doesn’t want to get enmeshed into the kind of political payback that was seen during campaign 2000 when a small segment of her supporters worked to defeat her victorious rival for the Democratic nomination Sen. Barack Obama in his successful race against GOP Presidential candidate Sen. John McCain. The Politico ...

Process to Oust Governor Starts - But NO Special Election
Illinois lawmakers started impeachment proceedings Monday against Gov. Rod Blagojevich as he continued to show up for work in Chicago and firmed up his legal team to fight corruption charges.
The state House of Representatives unanimously authorized a bipartisan committee to explore the possibility of ousting the two-term Democratic governor, by a vote of 113 to zero. But lawmakers did not move forward with a bill to create a special election to fill the U.S. Senate seat vacated by President-elect Barack Obama, which Gov. Blagojevich is accused of trying to sell.
