DENVER (AP) - Republicans on Tuesday pointedly invoked Hillary Rodham Clinton's past criticism that Barack Obama wasn't ready to lead as Democrats began two days at their national convention to be dominated by the old Clinton regime. Clinton, Obama's former rival for the nomination, was expected to urge her disappointed supporters to line up in unity behind Obama in a prime-time speech ...

Stubborn Facts —
We DO haz circus!
As the DNC stumbles into Day 2, the circus seems mostly to be about the convention itself, and not so much about the clown parade outside. Right wing TV Pundits destroy every segment on Democratic Convention —
Crooks and Liars
Every time I turn on the TV and watch CNN and FOX (my hotel doesn’t get MSNBC) every Republican operative controls the dialog and direction of the panel discussion and it’s disgusting. Just one example—Hillary Clinton gave a brilliant speech last night, but every Amy Holmes type talking head throws as much cold water on the speech as the can. The result is that the Dem ...
Clinton Expected to Make Case for Obama —
Taegan Goddard's Political Wire
While most Democrats felt Sen. Hillary Clinton gave an outstanding speech last night in support of Sen. Barack Obama, one criticism is that she didn't make the case for why Obama is ready to be president. It's been the main Republican talking point for several weeks. This morning, Obama campaign officials we've spoken to are unconcerned since they believe that Bill Clinton is better positioned ...

The Moderate Voice
Unless the Democratic party convention’s show of unity is truly overwhelming, the Democratic gathering is now turning into what seems to be Democrats shooting themselves in the foot and the Clinton camp shooting the party via a growing number of news stories that you usually don’t see during most national political conventions. Even contentious ones.
For instance, you ...
