Sarah Palin just announced that she is resigning as Governor of Alaska , effective the end of the month. Twitter is afire with commentary, mostly from folks watching her announcement. Still, it’s a pretty big shock. I’m not going to speculate about why she’s stepping down. I have no earthly idea.
