Future First Family Denied Early Move-In at the Blair House
Democratic Underground Latest Breaking News — ... Transition Team asked if the Obamas could stay at the Blair House starting around Jan. 5th so that the girls could start school on schedule. By tradition the Blair House is the President’s guest house for visiting dignitaries and is reserved for the President-elect’s use starting on Jan. 15. The White House conveyed to the Obama team that due to previously scheduled events and guests that couldn’t be displaced from the Blair House; they could not meet their request.
