Report: Hillary Clinton Will Take Secretary of State Job
Gateway Pundit — ... basically agree on a withdrawal of American troops. Clinton, who still harbours hopes of a future presidential run, had to weigh up whether she would be better placed by staying in the Senate, which offers a platform for life, or making the more uncertain career move to the secretary of state job. Edge to Obama. It does help pad Hillary's resume but is anyone else surprised to see Hillary so compliant since her primary loss? Ace and Allahpundit are skeptical.

Hillary to Accept Secretary of the State Job
Stop The ACLU — ... Open Senate seat for Rudy? I am geuninely surprised by her decision. There is no “first” here, she’ll serve at the behest of a President whose foreign policy is, supposedly, much more left-wing and pacifist than her own, and she just wrote off any hope of becoming president. A video for thoughts from Hot Air: I’ll say what no one else seems to want to….watch your back Barack! Fun ...

Weird Season Continues - Hillary for SecState?
RedState: Conservative News and Community — ... I drew the short straw over at the virtual bar, and so it falls to me to report to the readership that the rumor mill (via Hot Air and the UK Guardian) says that Senator Hillary Clinton has been offered the post of SecState. ...

Hillary Accepts?
Patterico's Pontifications — The Guardian says Hillary has accepted the Secretary of State post: Hillary Clinton plans to accept the job of secretary of state offered by Barack Obama, who is reaching out to former rivals to build a broad coalition administration, the Guardian has learned… The only thing is, as Allahpundit notes, nobody on this side of the pond seems to be reporting it yet. A bit odd, that . . .

Barcepundit (English edition) — ... offer of being Obama's secretary of State, according to The Guardian. This is a clever move: Obama would not only bring his former rival, and her supporters, under the tent. He would also assuage all those who were worried that Obama is too soft in international policy. He has someone who can take that 3 a.m. call, so to speak. But most of all, it's great news for Bill: just think how many days she'll be traveling out of town. Paaaaaaarty! UPDATE. Allah has more, and Memeorandum is buzzing... ...

Hillary will be Secretary of State
Wizbang — ... meeting with Iranian dictators without preconditions . I think she'll accept the job. It gives her the chance to continue on in the national spotlight and it gives her the chance to start making a difference, which is all Hillary's ever wanted (even though I don't agree with most of the changes she wants to make). The real question is, will this heal the rift in the Democratic party, or is Hillary just calculating her way through? Also blogging: Michelle Stop the ACLU Hot Air Ace

Cold water
Wizbang — ... but doesn't give her reasons. Allah Pundin at Hotair gets it too - Exit question: Er, why would the Guardian know this when American news outlets don't? I'll much more inclined to believe this story when a major US media outlet starts reporting it.
