Holder talks about race in U.S.
From NBC's Mike Kosnar At a Department of Justice program this morning celebrating African American History Month, the nation's first black attorney general -- Eric Holder -- said the United States is a "nation of cowards" when it comes to racial issues. Holder said average Americans "simply do not talk enough with each other about race."    Holder maintained that Justice Department employees have a special responsibility to advance racial understanding throughout the country.  ...

Holder needs to resign immediately.  It's apparent he isn't fit to be the Attorney General.  He is prejudiced.  He will be unable to perform his duties objectively.  A nation of cowards?  Hardly!

More Hope & Change... Attorney General Says America Is "Nation Of Cowards"

We need more race consciousness?
Maggie's Farm — ... Black AG working for black President says Americans need to make "racial progress" and to deal with race better by somehow becoming more race conscious. I always thought the goal was color-blindness - to deal with individuals, not skin colors. It's not hard to do that, because there seem to be about a thousand different skin tones in the US. ...

The Long Neglected Conversation on Race
Southern Appeal — Our new Attorney General, Eric Holder, echoed Barack Obama’s earlier call for a national conversation on race this morning at the DOJ .  Americans, saith Mr. Holder, are a “nation of cowards” when it comes to racial issues and average Americans “simply do not talk with each other about race.” I, for one, have to give my mulish second to his appeal.  We have wasted far too much time in this country meditating on the Federalist Papers, Aristotelian ethics, and Picasso’s Blue period.  The deafening silence on race over the past fifty years simply must end.  Then we can move on to ...
