Hamas tried to down IAF plane At a Sunday briefing, the Israel Air Force announced that Hamas had tried to down an IAF jet using anti-aircraft fire. This is apparently the first use of anti-aircraft fire by Hamas. The IDF has said that Hamas possesses several shoulder-held ground-to-air missiles, and in air raids overnight Saturday, the IAF hit a Gaza mosque in which a number of them were stored. Just think, if Hamas ever - God forbid - gets control of Judea and Samaria, they can use those handheld missiles against civilian aircraft taking off and landing at Ben Gurion International Airport.
