The long national nightmare ends -- or at least begins to end. Obama spoke of the ground shifting underfoot, and in watching the inauguration, you could feel it as the nation clearly comes to a fork in the road of history. But a fork is not a sharp turn -- just a shift to a hopefully wiser path.
