Word is that Senate Democrats are considering keeping Joe Lieberman on board as the chair of the Homeland Security Committee. I think that's a good idea. He'll do a great job of undermining any efforts made by Obama and the Senate to reinstate troublesome constitutional restrictions against torture, domestic spying, arbitrary detentions, etc. But is that really the right place for him? I mean there are plenty of others who could step in--senators Landrau or Nelson for instance. If the Senate Democrats are truely interested in being undermined ...
