During 1992-1994 Ayers and Obama together raised anther 110 $milions to add to Chicago Annenberg Challenhe foundation funds of 50$millons.  This attests to the long working collaboration of Ayers and Obama, really starting immediately after Obama returned from Harvard Law.

Te total came to 160$millions. Its failure should now speak to the next Obama initiative to nationalize local-conrolled schools.

Chicago Cover-up?
The Corner on National Review Online — ... to gain access to this critically important repository of information. Frankly, since the dispute over access, which played out late last week, I have grown concerned about the security of the documents. Public awareness is probably the best way to reduce the likelihood of documents being damaged or spirited away before I have a chance to break the embargo and gain access to the Collection. You can read more about the battle over the Chicago Annenberg Collection records in my new NRO ...

Remember Jack Ryan?
The Corner on National Review Online — ... Ryan's embarrassing divorce papers public. I met the Los Angeles lawyer a few months ago who made that happen. She argued to me that the public has the right to have access to public documents. She was of course an Obama supporter who also hoped at the time that the records would help defeat the Republican candidate and elect Obama. So, will the media apply the same standard to the library records? Turn about is only fair play. And in this case, a review of Obama's time at the Chicago Annenberg Challenge is far more politically salient than Jack Ryan's messy (but ...

The Library of Babel
Belmont Club — Stanley Kurtz at the National Review Online describes how he was first granted and then denied access to the records of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge , a fund worth $50 million led by Bill Ayers and chaired at one point by Barack Obama.  Kurtz’s research purpose was to discover the extent of Barack Obama’s relatinship with Ayers, and the part the Candidate played in Chicago educational politics. The Wikipedia entry notes that the Challenge suggests that its story and the role it played in the politics of education in Chicago promised to be an interesting one. The ...

What Are They Hiding?
Rhymes With RightAbout Obama and Ayers? What we do know is that high-ranking public employees at the University of Illinois -- Chicago are restricting access to document in their library that will likely shed light on that relationship -- but only after a conservative journalist/commentator attempted to gain access to the materials. The Special Collections section of the Richard J. Daley Library agreed to let me read them, but just before I boarded my flight to Chicago, the top library officials mysteriously intervened to bar access. Circumstances strongly suggest the likelihood that Bill Ayers ...

Help unlock the Obama/Ayers papers
Michelle Malkin — ... : “It’s not the crime, it’s the cover-up.” During his in-depth investigation and travels to Chicago to dig deeper, Kurtz has run into unexpected (or perhaps, quite expected) roadblocks : Although the press has been notably lax about pursuing the matter, the full story of the Obama-Ayers relationship calls the truth of Obama’s account seriously into question. When Obama made his first run for political office, articles in both the Chicago Defender and the Hyde Park Herald featured among his qualifications his position as chairman of the board of the Chicago Annenberg ...

McCain Campaign: Obama’s Questionable Associations
Patterico's Pontifications — [Guest post by DRJ] Following up on Stanley Kurtz’s article on William Ayers and the Annenberg Challenge records, this Rich Lowry post at National Review Online suggests the McCain campaign believes now is a good time to discuss Obama’s questionable associations: “… if Barack Obama wants to have a discussion about truly questionable associations, let’s start with his relationship with the unrepentant terrorist William Ayers, at whose home Obama’s political career was reportedly launched. The Annenberg challenge
Ben Smith's Blog — ... But as an Illinois archive moves tomorrow to release papers from the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, a grant-making group Obama chaired, and that gave Ayers a grant, a little perspective seemed in order. The document dump may, as National Review's Stanley Kurtz, who's been after the documents, speculates, cast light on Obama's relationship with Ayers. But Kurtz and various bloggers have also cast the Annenberg Challenge  itself as a radical group, which seems a bit out of context. Indeed, the grant says more about how mainstream Ayers has become than about how radical ...

White Whale Hunting
ArchPunditStanley Kurtz is sure that he can land Moby Dick if THE MAN would just let him. This is one of his great lines Even so, Stanley Kurtz, a contributing editor for the conservative magazine National Review, thinks Obama’s association with Ayers should raise questions in the minds of voters who wonder of Obama is as mainstream as he claims to be. “The fact that Obama and Ayers were working together stems from the pretty sharp left-leaning ideology that both of them shared to some extent,” Kurtz said. : What a moron.  The only good thing ...

Obama vs. Kurtz
Real Clear Politics - TIME.com — ... exaggerated Barack's connection with Ayers by claiming Ayers had recruited Barack to the board of the Annenberg Challenge. That is completely false and has been disproved in numerous press accounts. It is absolutely unacceptable that WGN would give a slimy character assassin like Kurtz time for his divisive, destructive ranting on our public airwaves. At the very least, they should offer sane, honest rebuttal to every one of Kurtz's lies. Kurtz writes about his research here , but we can surely expect more to come.

JustOneMinute — ... said Monday that it had never had any discussions with university officials about the Annenberg collection. I love that "denial" from the Obama campaign - they "never had any discussions with university officials about the Annenberg collection". Fine, but did anyone from the campaign talk to Ken Rolling or (LOL) Bill Ayers? Seems like an obvious follow-up, so let's fault the Trib for not asking (or for not printing the response).
