Talking Points Memo — ... If you're bummed about not getting a ticket to watch the Obama speech at the Invesco Center, you'll be happy to know they're still giving away tickets for John McCain's veep announcement tomorrow at the aptly-named 12,000 seat Nutter Center. ...

The enthusiasm gap, in tickets
Ben Smith's Blog — Mile High is nearly packed, and I'm told there's a long line outside. McCain aides said this week they thought they could have given out more than 200,000 tickets. McCain's campaign, meanwhile, is reportedly struggling to fill a 12,000 seat hall tomorrow.

Wild Things of the Frontier League, and the ...

When your candidate decides to campaign as an asshole it causes problems : Barack Obama can fill a 75,000 seat stadium. John McCain, it seems, is having trouble filling a 10,000 seat theater in Dayton. They're giving away free tickets in several states and plan to bus in supporters. The VP announcement can't be overshadowed by a less-than-capacity crowd.
