Election-watch: 71.4 million TV viewers
The Swamp — by Mark Silva It wasn't only a big voter-turnout that drove Tuesday's election. Tuesday night's election results drove a big viewer-turnout. 71.4 million people tuned into election coverage between 8 and 11 pm EST, according to Nielsen. 41.5 percent of all households. This compares to 59.2 million in 2004 and 61.6 million in 2000.
