... I’ve read a bunch of talk about the idea that Barack Obama and/or congressional Democrats may or may not be postponing or delaying or dropping their support for the Employee Free Choice Act. I think this is implicit in Marc Ambinder’s reporting on the subject, but that whole framing seems off. It’s a pretty simple up-or-down issue, and it’s a question of whether or not the Democrats have the votes to invoke cloture. It’s not as if they do have the votes but then are perversely delaying action. It’s a question of votes—it’s not ...
